🏁 Welcome to the Season!

Season Start Checklist

  • Team rosters finalized and shared with families
  • Practice schedules posted to team calendars
  • Uniform pickup dates announced
  • Coach welcome emails sent with session plans
  • Opening weekend games confirmed
📣 First fall games begin in September. First spring games begin in April.
Arrive **30 minutes early** for warm‑ups.
Season windows: Fall (Sept–Nov) | Spring (Apr–June)

Coach Season Prep Timeline

  • 📅 3–4 weeks before kickoff: Schedules posted on South Shore Soccer League
  • 📥 Schedules loaded into TeamSideline/HAYSA
  • 🔍 Coaches review for conflicts:
    • Coach availability
    • Overlapping Rec/Travel commitments
    • Major events affecting team attendance
  • 🤝 If only one coach is available, board members or other coaches may assist

Game Change Request Process

  1. 📧 Request opposing coach’s contact info from the Registrar
  2. 📍 Identify alternate time & location for the game
  3. 🤝 For home games, confirm field & referee availability with Referee Coordinator
  4. 🤝 Confirm availability with the opposing coach via email
  5. 📝 Track communication and CC board members once agreement is reached
  6. 📄 Complete the official SSSL Game Change Request Form

  7. 📤 Email the completed form to SSSL and send the email thread with:
  8. ✅ Wait for confirmation from SSSL
  9. 🌐 SSSL updates their site; HAYSA Webmaster receives notification
  10. 📣 TeamSideline/HAYSA updated to notify families and coaches
🛡️ All communication should remain in a single email thread. CC board members and the opposing coach once agreement is reached.
