Our Mission
HAYSA’s mission is to foster, promote, and advance the understanding and development of youth soccer in Holbrook, Avon,
and the surrounding communities. We are committed to:
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all players
- Teaching the fundamentals of the game with an emphasis on effort, teamwork, and respect
- Promoting good sportsmanship among players, coaches, referees, and families
- Providing pathways for players of all abilities to enjoy and grow in the sport
Who We Serve
HAYSA serves boys and girls from Holbrook, Avon, and nearby towns, from our youngest Mini Kickers through competitive
travel teams. Our programs are designed to meet players where they are—whether they are just touching a ball for the
first time or competing in league play across the South Shore.
Our Programs
We offer a progression of programs that grow with your child:
- Mini Kickers: Introductory, fun‑focused sessions for our youngest players
- Town Recreation: Local, small‑sided games that emphasize learning, friendships, and fun
- Travel Soccer: Competitive teams playing in the South Shore Soccer League (SSSL)
Many players start in Mini Kickers, move into Town Recreation, and then join Travel teams as they grow in confidence
and skill.
Volunteer‑Driven Organization
HAYSA is run entirely by volunteers—parents, caregivers, and community members who give their time as coaches, board
members, coordinators, and helpers behind the scenes. Without volunteers, there is no HAYSA.
League & Affiliations
HAYSA is affiliated with the South Shore Soccer League (SSSL) and follows the policies and guidelines of Mass Youth
Soccer. Our Travel teams compete against neighboring towns, while our Recreation and Mini Kicker programs focus on
local play within our community.
Governing Documents
HAYSA operates under a Constitution, Bylaws, and written policies that guide how we run our programs, manage safety,
and make decisions in the best interest of our players and families.
All governing documents, including the Constitution and Bylaws, are available on the
HAYSA Downloads page.
