🏁 Welcome to the Season!

Season Start Checklist

  • Team rosters finalized and shared with families
  • Practice schedules posted to team calendars
  • Uniform pickup dates announced
  • Coach welcome emails sent with session plans
  • Opening weekend games confirmed
📣 First fall games begin in September. First spring games begin in April.
Arrive 30 minutes early for warm‑ups.
Season windows: Fall (Sept–Nov) | Spring (Apr–June)

Coach Season Prep Timeline

  • 📅 As soon as schedules are released: They will appear on South Shore Soccer League.
    Note: Release timing varies each season and may be less than 3–4 weeks before kickoff.
  • 📥 Schedules are then loaded into TeamSideline/HAYSA.
  • 🔍 Coaches should review for conflicts as soon as schedules are available:
    • Coach availability
    • Overlapping Rec/Travel commitments
    • Major events affecting team attendance
  • 🤝 If only one coach is available, board members or other coaches may assist.
✅ Pro tip: Review schedules promptly when posted — early coordination helps avoid last‑minute changes.

Game Change Request Process

🔑 First step for ALL reschedules:
Send an email to registrar@haysa.org and president@haysa.org requesting the opposing town’s coach contact information.
🏠 Home Game Reschedules
3/4 Teams
  1. Email Registrar + Webmaster to notify them of the reschedule request.
  2. Check home field availability (multi‑location calendar + Registrar/Webmaster schedules).
  3. Check referee availability with the HAYSA Referee Coordinator.
  4. Email the opposing coach with 1–2 alternate dates/times.
  5. Once both coaches agree:
    Continue the same email thread and add:
  6. Submit the SSSL Game Change Request Form with the full email thread.
5/6 & Up Teams
  1. Email Registrar + Webmaster to notify them of the reschedule request.
  2. Check home field availability (multi‑location calendar + Registrar/Webmaster schedules).
  3. Email the opposing coach with 1–2 alternate dates/times.
  4. Once both coaches agree:
    Continue the same email thread and add:
  5. Submit the SSSL Game Change Request Form with the full email thread.
