2026 Fall Referee - Fall 2026
The HAYSA Referee Program is open to two groups of officials:
Travel referees for Grades 3/4 and
Recreation referees ages 13 and older.
This program is a great opportunity for young leaders to learn the game from a new perspective,
build confidence, and contribute to a positive experience for players and families.
Travel Referees (Grades 3/4)
Travel referees support competitive games and follow the standards set by Mass Youth Soccer.
These officials learn proper mechanics, positioning, signaling, and game management while working
closely with coaches and players. Travel referees play an important role in keeping games safe,
fair, and fun.
Recreation Referees (Age 13+)
Recreation referees manage in-town games and help younger players learn the rules in a supportive,
development-focused environment. This is an excellent entry point for teens who want to get involved,
earn community service hours, or take on a leadership role.
Our goal: Provide every referee with the training, mentorship, and confidence they need
to succeed — while ensuring every game is safe, fair, and enjoyable for all players.

Mini Kickers Fall 2026 - Fall 2026
Designed for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds, this joyful introduction to soccer is perfect for our youngest athletes — and their parents! Sessions are held on Saturday mornings and led by professional coaches who specialize in early childhood development. (Note: These coaches are not affiliated with HAYSA.)
The Mini Kickers program is all about fun, movement, and imagination. Through story-based games and age-appropriate activities, kids will explore the basics of soccer while building coordination, balance, and confidence. Expect lots of dribbling, turning, scoring goals, running, jumping, and even a little tumbling — all in a safe, playful environment.
Our #1 goal: Make sure every child leaves with a smile — because fun comes first!
