Every child deserves a safe, respectful, and nurturing sports environment. Abuse and misconduct—whether physical, emotional, or sexual—can happen in any setting. It's our shared responsibility to recognize the signs and take action.

🔍 Recognizing Warning Signs

  • Unexplained injuries or frequent bruises
  • Sudden emotional withdrawal, anxiety, or fearfulness
  • Reluctance to attend practices or games
  • Excessive control or favoritism by a coach or adult
  • Inappropriate physical contact or secrecy

📣 How to Report

If you witness or suspect abuse, misconduct, or inappropriate behavior, report it immediately. Massachusetts Youth Soccer provides clear steps for reporting:

Reports should be made within 24 hours of awareness. You may be required to contact:

  • Local law enforcement
  • Massachusetts Department of Children & Families (DCF)
